Lucina Centre

Lucina Centre is the community-based Birth and Family Wellness Centre where a cross-section of health care providers work together in order to provide women and families with a broad array of possibilities and alternatives in one location. The Birth and Family Wellness Centre offers a full scope of natural, sensitive midwifery care; choices for health care including therapeutic massage & acupuncture; and education for parents including prenatal classes and breast feeding.

Perinatal Mood Interest Group

Established in Edmonton in 2011, the Group’s purpose is to provide a forum for individuals from diverse backgrounds to network, share information and resources, and to explore ways to improve perinatal mental health care. Members include Public Health Nurses, Midwives, Nurse Educators, a Psychiatrist, Psychologists, a Psychiatric Nurse, Social Workers, researchers, and women who have experienced perinatal mood and anxiety problems.

Education Clinic at the University of Alberta
The Counselling Centre accepts referrals for individual, marriage and career counselling for adults, in addition to family therapy and play therapy for children. The Counselling Centre provides specialized services for a wide range of issues and clients from preschool to the elderly. Referrals are accepted from any source on a first-come first-served basis. Counselling services are normally not available between May and August.
